"Wave" is a striking understated statement piece, evoking the ever-changing, yet constant, rhythm of the sea. Deep indigos and soft blue-greens create a sense of depth, while the touches of magenta adds the something of the unexpected. Inspired by the horizon’s quiet power, this minimalist abstract seascape brings both movement and stillness to a space. It would lend an air of raw, but natural sophistication to any minimal or neutral interiors.

Painting this piece involved a lot of experimentation and working with the ink and raw canvas in new and original ways, which were both surprising and deeply calming. I hope that this comes through in the final piece.
